Social Selling Series: Instagram

So I’ve heard this over and over the past year, “You can’t convert sales on Instagram, that’s just not how it works!’. Well I say that BS because over 15% of my users have come from instagram. I’m not paying for ads, I’m not paying for likes or followers. I am taking steps to drive engagement and giving away knowledge for free.

Social Selling Series: LinkedIn

Social selling, that buzz word that gets thrown around by people posting videos where you literally feel like they're yelling in your face. No wonder most sales people can't figure out what "social selling" really is, how it's different from marketing, or even where to start. We're not on the marketing team, we're not SEO experts and we can't justify spending all day on SM platforms when our bosses definitely haven't bought into the idea of bringing in sales through social media. I get it, I have been there, I had that boss a couple times... there are effective ways to start bringing in leads and customers through social media.

Cold Calling: With Social Media is it Still Necessary?

Ok, I'm going to level with you here. I absolutely hate cold calling! I have flash backs to making 120 calls a day, staying up all night to get my documentation and accounts completed the last few days of the month, not remembering the drives home and to work at times. I still do it, and I love the few people every day who get excited about Perfrm, who would have never heard about Perfrm had I not picked up the phone.

Take Control of Your Calendar

I have spent a lot of my career in sales feeling like I'm running in circles and never completing my lists of todo's. I woke up and basically jumped out of bed with a slew of words I won't put here as I realized what I needed to accomplish by noon tomorrow.

Sales Skills: How to Set Up a CRM to Build a Pipeline

Recently I've had so many friends ask me how to build out a CRM system and manage their pipelines. I was surprised that so many people with established businesses aren't using a CRM, especially with free ones like HubSpot, on the market. While I cover this in depth in our Build and Manage a Pipeline course, I thought I'd briefly cover it here for all of my friends who aren't paid members of Perfrm. Unlike most of my blog posts this one is a general step by step guide on how to set up a CRM.

Living Balanced: The Power of Saying Yes

When I started really putting work in to bring my idea of Perfrm to light in November, I was ready to put in two to three hard long years. I had a plan for when I would run out of my money to bootstrap, to grind. I even moved to cut my personal expenses to a third of what they were in San Francisco. What I wasn't ready for was the amazing things that would happen all because I keep saying yes.

Sales Culture: Can't We All Just Get Along

YES! The simple answer is yes, we can all get along. Sales teams are by nature competitive. We would all love to fill our teams with college athletes, right? I love hiring college athletes because they have had to work with a team. Most companies are hiring them because they have a competitive edge. The real question, is where does it go wrong?
